So now Dashel is 13 months old and very high maintenance. I'm not sure if he really is more work than Gavin, or it is just that I have to share my attention with another child so it seems harder. He is probably just having a rough go because he is getting his top two molars, but the funny thing is he still does not have his left top tooth. So he only has three up front, then the two molars are coming in and four bottom teeth. I sure hope there is actually a tooth there. It has been four months since the others came in.
He said his first real word, "ball" of course. That was Gavin's first too. He is communicating very well non verbally and with baby sign. He signs, "more", "please", "all done", and "water". For everything else he just points and if you get it wrong, he shakes his head "no!!!"
He loves to play basketball! Or look at balls and just say ball. The brothers really are the same when it comes to the ball thing. He will find the ball in the books and gets stuck on it. Just wants to look and point at the ball. He loves to look out the window and see the balls in the back yard. He also just really enjoys looking out the window.
He is still a major Papa's boy. He loves me all day long and wants me to carry him and do things with him. Then Brock comes home and he literally pushes me away and just wants to be with Brock. That is until it is time to nurse and sleep, then it is all me again. He is a very decisive little guy!
He is still not walking, but he stands up on his own and will take a few steps here and there. That is until he wants to get somewhere and knows that he crawls very fast. He is just not that determined to walk. I love to watch a little baby crawl and I make sure to enjoy it cause I know it is just days before he walks.
We just love that little baby even though he acts like a caveman most of the time and is not easy going. He is really becoming is own little Dashel self.
