10 years

Ten years ago....


Brock and I have known each other since our sophomore year in highschool 1995 (could that really be 17 years???) sitting and flirting in Mrs. Marrs computer science class.  We never dated in High School, but were friends with a lot of flirting.... especially on my part.  That all adds up to a lot of laughs and good stories to tell.

It wasn't until both of us were back in Laramie at the University of Wyoming that we kept running into each other around town.  The post office, the college scene, ect. and kept saying that was should get together and hang-out.  One night spending an hour out in my car listening to music and realizing that we have so much in common, but not saying anything about it.  Then at a Steamboat ski weekend we decided it made sense and realized we enjoy being around each other.  Now we were adults at 22 and it was "time" for us I guess.

..... Brock invited me over to his house for dinner.  He made beef tacos and we sat a listened to music and talked all night.  That was the beginning.  Now we have had a wonderful 10 years filled with skiing, trips, three college graduations, a wedding, jobs, careers, bar exam, house purchase, and two awesome little boys.   These years have been the best.  Thanks Brock for being a wonderful husband, friend, father, and teammate:-)

I made him tacos to celebrate, however vegan this time around;-)  And yes, he liked it!!

Mushroom Tacos:
1 pk any kind of mushroom
1 onion
1T olive or canola oil or butter
1t chili powder
1t cumin powder
1t onion or garlic salt

Finely dice mushrooms and onion. Saute in oil for 15 or so minutes.  Add seasonings.  Serve like taco meat on a shell with beans.  Top with salsa, lettuce, avocados, and vegan cheese dip:  http://www.ordinaryvegetarian.com/2010/01/alicias-vegan-queso-dip.html
