At the end of our WA trip, Dusty and I took the boys for a nice long road trip!! We wanted the boys to make it to the Pacific Coast and see some of the rain forest. It was a long trek stopping every hour for miscellaneous business, but well worth it. Plus it was fun just being with Dusty!! Saw a water fall on the way over the mountain to Seattle. Then we took a ferry in Seattle across the sound, so fun for Gav! Saw Canada across the water! Stayed in a hotel in Port Angeles (I loved that town, so beautiful!) We went to the ocean, but it was poring rain so didn't spend too much time there. I have never seen a beach with so many polished smooth rocks of all sizes. It was awesome, I wanted to grab a bag and take a bunch to decorate with like maybe a shower floor, but only grabbed four. I would love to go back there another day when the weather is a bit less wet, but that may not be possible. We also took a hike through the rain forest in the rain and mud. (We should have been more prepared because after all it is a rain forest!) There we saw huge trees, moss, falling Maple tree leaves, and lots of water! And okay, I'll admit we went to Forks and LaPush too, but did not see any vampires or wolves. Although I kept thinking that I saw Sasquatch -- now I know why people think they see him! (Dark shadows in the thick forest along with drapes of moss hanging from the trees!) Finally we made it back to Seattle just in time to sleep a few hours before we had to get up to catch our early flight!!

We had so much fun visiting Dusty and were so sad to leave. Washington is so cool and such a beautiful place! Gavin is still talking about the trip to see Dusty. But, happy to get home to see Brock and celebrate our anniversary! This was the longest we have been away from Brock and it was hard on Gavin especially! He said, "I want Papa to be home because I'm the one that makes sure that he doesn't die." Hmmm
